Dear ProZians,
The annual year-end membership campaign begins today. If you are already a full paying member of ProZ.com, thank you! You have helped build a workplace where serious language professionals can expand and improve their businesses, while networking and having fun.
In the twelve years and counting that the ProZ.com community has been around, members have been the driving force behind such tools and opportunities as the KudoZ term help network, the Blue Board, powwows, the articles knowledge base, the ProZ.com Wiki, the ProZ.com exchange, quick polls, online invoicing, the Certified PRO Network, in-person and virtual conferences, in-person and online training, translation industry reports, Translator Group Buying and translation industry news, to name just a few... these shared tools have, in turn, benefited each member. This collaborative effort continues to permanently change the translator's profession from a solitary pursuit into something more interactive, more efficient, more rewarding and more profitable. Congratulations!
Likewise, as membership continues to grow this also comes back to benefit current members and all who use the site. In the recently published year-end report to members, it was reported that currently over 18,000 industry professionals are investing in their businesses through ProZ.com membership. If you are an active user of ProZ.com but have not yet invested in membership, there has never been a better time to consider joining.
Full members enjoy complete access to all of the site's features and archives. ProZ.com is currently ranked among the top 2,800 sites on the web, and members benefit directly from this level of visibility through the highest levels of profile exposure both on the site (the ProZ.com directory, job quoting, etc.) and on the web in general (in search engines such as Google and Yahoo). Members meet and begin working with new clients at a rate at least four times greater than that of non-members.

A one-month campaign with incentives: "Don't be afraid to fly"
A year-end campaign is now underway, and will last until the 14th of December. The theme of the campaign is "Don't be afraid to fly." Smart translators have been using ProZ.com to take their translation businesses to new heights for the past twelve years, and so can you. As 2011 winds down and you plan for 2012 and beyond, consider using ProZ.com as a serious set of tools to help you get where you want to go.
There are some added incentives for joining before December 14th. By joining now, you will receive membership until January 2013 (up to one month extra, depending on how soon you join).
All who join ProZ.com, or renew their membership, during the campaign will also have a chance to win in daily prize drawings, where the sooner you join or renew the better your chances (and the more chances you have) of winning. You will also have a chance at winning one of the grand prizes given away at the end of the campaign, including a vacation trip for two to the Bahamas. See the the membership page for details.
