Dear colleagues, I'm in the middle of an investigation task, and I have to find out the name of a painter that I don't know. He must be a renowned British painter who probably made most of his work during the 20th century. I never knew translators would be called upon to investigate things like this but it stands to reason really as we need to have sharp research skills to translate (I sometimes feel as though part of my job consists of detective work).
