I don't think anyone would read it "the enigma" "of language deciphered" (that is, language that has been deciphered) without the comma. It just seems punchier in one blow: "The enigma of language deciphered". But yes, I know the dilemma. I can sit a whole day deliberating over a comma.... again, I refer you to Oscar.

.....that was my fear....that without the comma is could be read as you stated.
I don't know about anyone else, but all of a sudden, a lot of these taglines seem like easy targets for innuendo.....

in "The enigma of language, deciphered." Methinks that comma is a beautiful indicator of the pun intended. Sort-of exactly (is that possible?) as in that sign where the comma in "Please, no dogs" (or "No dogs, please") was left out.
Anyway, one could parenthesize the comma, but that would be dumbing it down too much, right? [It did immediately make me think of Pearl Harbor.]

"Open and flexible" is the one which got my mind racing....perhaps more appropriate for a yoga instructor?
What's really struck me is the number of profiles without a tagline or those which have one but which is yawn-inducing (not that a tagline is obligatory by any means).
-On the comma
I'm keeping it for now. I'm erring on the side of caution but I'm the most indecisive person on Earth, so it may well still see itself evicted from the sentence yet....

I recently gave up trying to find a catchy tagline. I'm trying to insert myself into what is probably a very small but specialised niche (mathematical translations - I'm willing to bet that they would be pretty impenetrable for any non-expert translator, but how much demand is there?), so I feel that I need to maximize the amount of space that I advertise my specialisation in.
Also, on a related note, perhaps people don't expect *ahem**ahem* real humour from a mathematician, so this will help to make sure that I fit the bill.
I do very much enjoy other people's efforts though 
And I must admit that most of my favourite jokes do involve obscure properties of the Ackermann function... ▲ Collapse

Neither of you (the last two posters) have yawn-inducing taglines. I was thinking more along the line of one work taglines or just completely generic ones (neither of you have one of those I don't think).
And I don't want to disparage anyone at all, seeing that up until the day before yesterday my tagline was completely unoriginal and generic. - as I was fed up of trying to be witty or clever.

I recently changed it to "My translation = Your message" but I'm not sure if I'm happy with it, opinions will be appreciated.

Too bad that you're not in the English-French pair: you missed on the (Kudoz) translation of "Triangle Hinge Theorem"... deciphered, but likely to have no fast, (pr)official and cute name in French!
