What does seem more useful: "pay per click" method with keywords or ordinary optimization/indexation?

Are you are asking how successful people have been in PPC versus SEO (search engine optimisation)? Or are you asking about the pros and cons of each methods?

PPC can be useful when you have just put your business on line, you haven't mastered the basics of getting your web pages optimised, and you want results relatively quickly. However like SEO you need a home web site design which 'works' to gain client trust, looks professional, motivates clients to contact you. Without getting your basic design right neither your optimisation (SEO) nor your Marketing acts (by PPC) will help you.

If you do go the PPC ('inorganic') way, there are two things you must be certain about beforehand:

  1. Whether you are certain about the specific search keywords your potential clients are using - if not you will waste your PPC budget (assuming it is not unlimited).

  2. What your budget is - if you choose broad keywords, the competition will be greater, and costs may be higher 'per clic'

If you go the SEO ('organic') way, it will take a little longer, especially if you are new to the 'optimisation' domain. They say that 'key-word containing content is king', so you should always have good evolving content, but you equally have to ensure your code is readable by the search engines.

Read up in forums about what is and isn't necessary for this, or ask a professional for assessment and pointers in respect of whether your code is clean, and where you can go with it.

Don't however neglect other forms of marketing like link-campaigns in Forums, specialist directories, create a blog, write articles, etc..
