Born in Africa, I studied and grew up as a Third Culture Kid moving back and forth my homeland (South Korea) and other countries. As a result, I speak both Korean and English fluently and also learned a bit of Japanese and Russian. My twenty years abroad living among and working with people from various different backgrounds has allowed me not only to offer linguistic services but also to act as a bridge between and between people of different cultures. I believe that translation work isn't simply about knowing what one word means in another language but having a good grasp of the cultural context and background. I love cultural experiences especially travel and enjoy projects that allow me to broaden my experiences and insights in this field.
