I am a freelance Latvian-English-Latvian Translator, with Latvian being my native language. I currently have about 5 years of translation experience, and my main specialisation is legal text translation. I also have experience in translating marketing, tourism, food industry texts and materials about cryptocurrencies.

I have a Professional Bachelor’s degree in Translation and Interpreting and a Translator’s / Interpreter’s qualification and a Professional Master’s degree in Translation. I have also obtained a Secretary's / Clerk’s qualification.

My previous work experience includes working as a Secretary for a food product manufacturer and as a Translation Project Manager at an international company. For the past two and a half years, my full time job has been working as a Freelance LV-ENG-LV Translator, Editor and Proofreader, although I had already gained translation experience at my previous workplaces.

I work with MS Office, Trados (I own an SDL Trados 2019 licence and acquired the 'SDL Trados Studio 2019 for Translators - Getting Started' certification), Memsource and Smartling (agency supplied licences for their projects exclusively) on a daily basis.
