I have studied from kindergarten throughout high school at two exclusive private French missionary schools, where I was taught Arabic, French and English for 18 hours a week and translation/Arabization/summarization twice a week, with access to extensive school and home libraries.

I am widely traveled and have mostly worked and lived overseas, always assuming jobs using foreign languages. Thanks to this favourable background, I became a fully fledged English, French and Arabic translator; specializing in translation, Arabization, and editing with a professional native-like command of English.

Throughout my 37 years of residence in the UAE, including two years (1968/69) before the Union; and besides my full time jobs at the foreign news/business desks including over three years as the acting business editor at “Al Khaleej” Arabic daily, and trilingual translator/Arabic editor at Messrs. “Motivate Publishing”, translating the two in-flight magazines of Emirates airline, business magazines, books about the profiles of the UAE’s and GCC leaders, history, heritage, business, tourism, environment, and other books, financial results, corporate reports, guides, catalogues and brochures; I have worked as a freelance translator and editor for leading advertising and public relations firms.
