Azaz nem lehet például egy eredményt növelő és egy eredményt csökkentő azonos nagyságú hibát nullának tekinteni. Eredményre hatóhibák esetében másodlagos hatásként általában mindig módosul a saját tőke összege is, így a hiba hatása kétszeres összegben jelenik meg a hiba jelentőségének számításánál (egyrészt, mert a hiba hatással van a mérleg szerinti eredményre, másrészt mert a mérleg szerinti eredmény része a saját tőkének, így a mérleg szerinti eredményre gyakorolt hatáson keresztül a saját tőkére is hatással van).

Bei Notebooks ist das Problem dann aber oft schnell identifiziert: „Fehlerquelle Nummer eins sind die Lüfter“, sagt Computerexperte Manfred Kratzl. „Wenn die zustauben und sich nicht mehr schnell genug drehen, überhitzt der Rechner schneller.“

Notebookok esetén ilyenkor már gyorsan azonosítható a probléma: „Az első számú hibaforrás a ventillátor” –mondja Manfred Kratzl, informatikai szakértő. „Ha túl poros, és már nem forog elég gyorsan, hamarabb túlmelegedik a számítógép.”
