CAT Oct 12

I'm constantly working with a CAT tool, so source on the left and target on the right.

If I'm asked to translate straight from a PDF (something that hasn't happened since ages) I put the source on top and the target below.

If I need to have both files, it will be source on the left and target on the right, but most of the times I overwrite.

The only time I need the 2 files on-screen is for proofreading.
Usually I split the screen with the source on top and the target below.
For translating with a CAT, source on the left and target on the right.

I rarely if ever have a source and target file on screen at the same time. When at home, I work on a desktop PC, and if I want to have a source file open while I'm working on the translation, I set up my laptop on my left and do it that way, with the two full screens.

If I happen to work with two separate files, my standard arrangement is source on the left and target on the right. I use a 27'' screen exactly for this reason: displaying two entire pages side by side, being web pages, pdfs or docs.

I arrange all of the things at one place and then work accordingly
