Source text - English The main observation to be explained is that all deadjectival verbs allow for telic or atelic interpretations, depending on the context, but independently of the quantificational and referential properties of their Theme argument. The current debates revolve around the predictions concerning the availability of telic and atelic interpretations based on the characteristics of the state denoted by "x is Adj". The predictions appeal to one major classificatory parameter: namely, whether the base adjective entails (i) a closed scale (a scale with a maximal, minimum element, or both), as in "empty", "darken" derived from absolute gradable adjectives, or (ii) an open scale (a scale that lacks a maximal, minimum element), as in "cool", "shorten" derived from relative gradable adjectives.

Source text - English AEGIS is an international project which will empower people with disabilities, the elderly and any other group of users being disadvantaged today when using Internet services, desktop PC or mobile devices. The project will provide an accessible, exploitable and deeply embeddable approach in mainstream Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). It will be achieved by the development an Open Accessibility Framework (OAF) consisting of open source accessible interfaces and accessibility toolkits for developers, alongside accessible applications and open source assistive technologies for end-users. AEGIS project will produce this framework through user research and prototype development with current and next generation ICT. This will make accessibility of the ICT products open, plug and play, personalised and configurable, realistic and applicable in various contexts. It will also reduce the cost of developing accessible cross-platform ICT solutions for all users, using the new AEGIS open source modules, frameworks and developer tools.

We can use many verbs together with another word to form "phrasal verbs", e.g. "put on, get up".
The same verb can go with several different meanings, e.g. "put away, put on, put through"".
The meaning of a phrasal verb is not always clear from the two parts. For example, "put through" means connect (= make a telephone connection). You should check the meaning of phrasal verbs in a dictionary.
