Source text - English Doncaster-born Danny Rose could be making an emotional return to his hometown on Wednesday night in the Carling Cup second round.
We take on Doncaster Rovers at the Keepmoat Stadium with manager Harry Redknapp suggesting the game could represent an opportunity for those who have not featured so far this season to make an impression.
After an impressive pre-season, midfielder Danny is one of those waiting for his first chance to pull on a Spurs shirt at senior level.
And he admits the Yorkshire town in which he was born in front of friends and family would be a special place to make his debut.
"It could be the third time in the space of a few months that I've been back to Doncaster," said the 19-year-old.
"My debut during my loan spell with Watford last season was against Rovers and I also played at the Keepmoat for England Under-19s against Bosnia in the summer, scoring a goal on that occasion.
"Both games ended in victory so it would be great if I could be involved tomorrow night and we progress to the next round of the competition.
"Living so far away from home makes it difficult for a lot of friends and family to come down to London and watch me play often.
"So if I do get a game it will be a special occasion for many of them to come along and watch.
"The lads are playing well at the moment so I know it is during training and maybe in games like this where I will get the chance to make an impression on the manager."
