Discussion

Kent Andersson Apr 12, 2007:
"Läbbig" can have two meanings: scary or gross. Both are widely used, and what worse is, they both fit in your context. More context is needed to sort this out.

Both are OK, but I would chose "groose".

I need to change the spelling for both words but how?

Shamefully,

GROSS and DISGUSTING of course. Surprised there were no comments.

Kent: No, we don't need more context. The sentence says it all.

Peer comment(s):

neutral Louise Mawbey : Do you mean "gross" and "disgusting"?

same sense, so one or the other or another word with the same "feel" to it, but not "awful"
agree Larry Abramson : I think this is more accurate....gross and disgusting

agree Mårten Sandberg : gross and disgusting are fine

scary

I remember using läbbig as in a läbbig film - scary film
Peer comment(s):

neutral Mårten Sandberg : "läbbig" here has a slightly different connotation to it. More like disgusting.
