Swedish term

värdeladdning

Swedish to English Marketing Advertising / Public Relations
...produkten har en något tydligare värdeladdning än företaget.

this revolves around a trademark appraisal, so I assume we are talking about value generation or value creation, but which?

Discussion

TroyTempest (asker) Sep 21, 2011:
As George writes, value potential is doubtful, Catarina. It appears to have more to do with perception and impression. 'Profile' may be an option, George, but I think there must be something more suitable. Wasn't able to get any satisfactory replies from my PR agency partners in the UK this morning:(
George Hopkins Sep 21, 2011:
Doubtful Värdeladdning has a rather dubious tone. Something that is 'värdeladdad' is loaded with subjective judgements according to Prisma. Perhaps 'profile' might be a better word.

brand equity

This might be a possibility.

Brand Equity is the accumulated value of the brand image or identity in the consumer's mind.

Brand equity is the value built-up in a brand.
It can be positive or negative. Positive brand equity is created by effective promotion and consistently meeting or exceeding customer thoughts. Negative brand equity is usually the result of bad management.

Like George's "profile", I had also wondered about things like "image" or "recognition".

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "In the context submitted, Brand equity is indeed correct. Thanks Alison. A colleague of mine in the UK suggested 'value impact', but this is a term with which I'm familiar and have only used in association with real estate copy. Let's see how brand equity is received by the client:)"
