Reference: Findings Reference information: Leak-Free Stuffing Box Solves Special Problem One of the most important innovations developed within PCP technology is the extensively tested leak-free stuffing box. Within a PCP system, a rod string, which extends to the bottom of the well, is rotated by a surface drivehead in a clockwise direction. This moves the rotor within the PCP stator. Many years ago, it became clear that the produced fluid should be sealed from the outside environment. The stuffing box is the mechanism that creates that seal. Essentially, the leak-free stuffing box is a pre-built assembly that simplifies monitoring seal wear with a double mechanical seal in a single-sealed cartridge. https://www.upstreampumping.com/article/production/progressi... -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 46 mins (2019-06-04 13:26:56 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- stuffing box > caja de empaque, prensaestopas http://www.interpretesdeconferencias.mx/edocman/4 Glosario d... |
