"El defensor deberá ser Abogado de la República." I'm having real problems finding this - it appears to be a Venezuelan term. I initially thought something like "State Prosecutor", but it's talking about defence counsel......"accredited attorney"?

I understand that they are asking for a solicitor qualified as such at an university of the República of Venezuela who is also member of a local Bar Association. I do not believe it is a State Prosecutor but just a an accredited attorney (US)/solicitor(UK) (depending on your target client); you can also use the general term *lawyer*
