Spanish term

(a 5 años jubilación)

Spanish to English Bus/Financial Human Resources retirement
Is this descriptive phrase, used after the name of a person working at a company, saying that the person has *been retired* for 5 years or that they *will retire* in 5 more years? It seems counter-intuitive to think that they have been retired, yet they are currently working, but other ProZ answers indicate that this phrase is "post-retirement". They are being recommended to be kept at a company that has been bought out by another. Please help!

5 years from retirement

agree michaelrwilson : I agree that both "from" and "to" are grammatically correct, however "5 years from retirement" sounds more natural to me.
