Гнать надо таких ссаными тряпками...

Вот эти самые тряпки и интересуют.
Можно, конечно, заменить на "гнать поганогй метлой", что в целом передает идею, но хотелось бы узнать альтернативные варианты...

Well, that's what you should have started with... ... and saved yourself the tar and feathers:))) In a situation that you describe, it's definitely kick his butt out. If you want more extreme prejudice though, you could say f**k him up real good and hang him out to dry. Or any combination thereof.

Ну да, ТАМ всё так хорошо... Там даже Ку-клукс-клан вежливый. Никого никуда не прогонял. Решал на месте. И тряпок ссаных там нет. Там вообще не писают - рай. И индейцев никто и никуда, тем более тряпками! Это не культурно! Они сами умерли почти все.

The problem is we have no ssaniye tryapkies:)))) We used to have tar and feathers, if you want to be idiomatic and technically correct - as in tar, feather and chase someone out of town, or ride out on a rail as Boris suggested. But I don't think they do much of that anymore:) so it would be a little difficult imagining this in a modern setting unless there's some considerable irony/sarcasm involved. I am afraid you may well be stuck with kicking/throwing their butts out of here/out of town, a version of which Vera has already suggested below.

Or else, perhaps, we need to urgently import some tryapkies from the old country.

Вообще, вопрос культурологический: а свойственна ли носителями "культуры страны изучаемого языка" идея, что кого-то откуда-то нужно гнать (неважно, каким именно предметом)? Ну, на "рельсе" нежелательного элемента, конечно, "прокатить" могли. А кроме этого? Свободная страна, всё-таки. Трудно кого-то откуда-то "гнать".

Соответственно, исходная фраза должна была бы транслироваться в совершенно иную идею.

You can manipulate the phrase to your liking. You can replace "throw" with "kick" or "chuck" (I wouldn't use "chase" though. It doesn't sound right.) Replace "hell" with "fuck" for stronger language, etc.

Оказывается, история ссаных тряпок началась вовсе не в Советском Союзе, а гораздо раньше, и в Шотландии! Эта свободолюбивая страна вообще много дала российской культуре, взять того же Михаила Лермонтова или волынку (не музыкальный инструмент, а способ исполнения поручений, государственных и муниципальных контрактов и супружеских обязанностей).
