Article on famous conductor
This part of this article on famous conductor is written by a famous musician who once played in his orchestra. After describing how terrifying the first rehearsal was (because he admired the conductor so much), he explains that:
"Mă îngrozea mult prima repetiție și încă după primele măsuri ale Concertului de Brahms
mi-am dat seama *** cât de mult greșisem..." ***
I can see that "greşisem" is past perfect of "greşi", but I am not sure if he means that he was making mistakes while he was playing his instrument, or if he was wrong about something else.
I have begun this as:
"The first rehearsal terrified me and it dawned on me(or "I began to realise"), even after the first few measures of the Brahms concert, ***how many mistakes I had made***. "
Is this mistakes in the playing of the music? If not, then I need to change my translation.

THANK YOU AGAIN.
I really can;t say if it's about making mistakes in music or about being wrong (cat de mult gresisem - how wrong I was/how wrong I have been). The construction is ambiguous... I somehow think that if it was about "making mistakes", it should have been " cate greseli facusem". But there is no rule...so it;s just a guess.
Before this paragraph, is there any reference to another person? Described as " o ființa atât de completă, cu un așa simț artistic și mai deosebit de amabilă, călduroasă și înțelegătoare" ... ?
