Mr.X sells a piece of land to Mr. Y.
Mr.X has a pending trial in regard to the fountain at the North end of the property, in dispute with a neighbor. Two years later, after the sale, Mr.X receives a favorable (sorry for the Am EN) court decision. If he refuses or neglects to submit the court decision to the Land Registry, Mr.Y can sue him to get him to submit the necessary documentation (court decision).

Your answer is probably good, but I just think it would be more colloquial/idiomatic or whatever to avoid overuse of "action". We would normally say "register a property" or "submit an application to land registry", or something, depending on which stage of the prcess the applicant has reached.

While, of course these are all "actions" - I was just trying to interpret it in a more UK way, which is why I also said that if this is for US variation, then I understand my comments are redundant.

The asker may be more interested in a translation of the actual query of 'prestație tabulară' / approx. completion of registration and that our other native English speakers - who have studied the Romanian lingo, rather than conveyancing - don't seem to have cottoned on to.

The point I am making is that some of the usage for "action" does not represent the official terms in law courts. Also "action OF a divorce" does not define a legal term, but is a way that somebody has phrased the actual divorce issue. Perhaps "action for a divorce" is used to further narrative, but "action" is not always the term used.
...as I said, I have no idea how US uses the terminology, but as far as UK is concerned for "divorce", we normally say "petition for divorce".

Pls. note that usage is different throughout the UK. A divorce petition in England and Wales is called an 'action of (or for) divorce' in Scotland where mortgage = standard security, probate = letters of confirmation and bankruptcy = sequestration

Also, an 'action at law' to my knowledge is perfectly acceptable US Am. - cut to Barron's US Am. Law Dictionary and https://www.thefreedictionary.com/action at law and contrast an Action in Equity in E&W.

Otherwise, what Liviu-Lee seems to be alluding to has echoes - in UK conveyancing at least - of enforcing by land registration a 'covenant for further assurance', namely the seller / vendor is required, post-sale of land, to submit docs., title deeds and receipts to perfect the title conveyed.

In UK we use the term "legal action" in quite a general way. For legal documents, the specific type of "action" would normally have a more technical definition. It would be understood, but to use it at this level sounds very conversational and also journalistic
For example, we would say "court order" "bring a case against" "summons" etc, which could all be called "legal actions" of some sort. However, I assume that you are translating for US variant, so my comments may be irrelevant.
