I think "machines" is incorrect, because I think the study is study of movements of all elements of the system (other than perhaps the human being protected), of an airbag system in a vehicle. I don't think that such a system should be described as a "machine".

In my opinion, "poduszka powietrzna" ordinarily means "airbag", not "air cushion". In the extremely unlikely event that it means "air cushion" here, then the preferred answer would not be my answer above, but would be:
Alternative answer: study of movement of devices (or machines) [employing an air cushion].
2nd alternative answer: study of kinematics of devices (or machines) [making use of an air cushion].
The reason why "air cushion" would be extremely unlikely is that, from the standpoint of mechanical engineering, there is nothing unique about devices making use of an air cushion.
I think "machines" is incorrect, because I think the study is study of movements of all elements of the system (other than perhaps the human being protected), of an airbag system in a vehicle. I don't think that such a system should be described as a "machine".
