Norwegian term

Bryggen

Non-PRO Norwegian to English Art/Literary Tourism & Travel
I need help for the pronunciation of 'Bryggen', which would be transliterated in the text.

Thank you very much.

Thanks Ken Cox. You're right. Why this idea didn't come to me? :)
Ken Cox Feb 16, 2007:
Why not ask on in Norwegian-English pair (with a request for the answer in English)? That way you have a better chance of getting answers from native speakers.

According to the source below, but I'd say we need confirmation from someone who knows Norwegian:

We drove to the wharf area, directly across the harbour from the area known as Bryggen (pronounced BREW-gun). For 400 years, from the 1300's to the 1700's, Bergen was a major port in the Hanseatic League, and the Bryggen area was a community of 2000 Germans surrounded by 8000 Norwegians.
