Norwegian term

overflad sens

Norwegian to English Medical Medical (general) Physical examination
Hei!

The neurology patient is undergoing a general physical exam. The above appears in the following sentence:

"Normal overflad. sens berøring i overex og underex."

I take this to be a test of superficial sensation, but can't find this term. I'd be grateful if anyone could confirm, or otherwise?

Takk!
Alison.

Norwegian/Danish LOL, I believed it was a Norwegian text! :) It seems this word was spelled the Danish way?

Are you translating Norwegian or Danish?

I reckon "overflad" here is a Danish abbreviation of "overfladisk"

This is from this reference (https://www.frontiersin.org/articles/10.3389/fnins.2022.1065... This study aimed to explore the nature of light touch sensation and two-point discrimination (2-PD) of different hand sites in convalescent stroke patients based on somatosensory evoked potentials (SEP).
Note from asker:
Thanks, Eodd, I detected Danish, too :)
By the way, I tried accessing the reference page you mention, but this link can no longer be found.
