Japanese term
先行
Japanese to English
Bus/Financial
Business/Commerce (general)
This term is used for product development plans in 先行化合物 and 先行プロジェクト。There are many ways to translate 先行 into English, but I don't know what would be appropriate, and it's difficult to tell from context, which is not much. One use, for example is in
(XX) の場合は先行プロジェクトが(XX stage) にステージアップする、もしくは先行プロジェクトの(YY stage) のCT満了期間
(Don't know what CT stands for.)
Any ideas would be appreciated!

Or maybe it could be an 'early project' too.

Previous projects ... previous stage, etc.
Something that's been done previously, or prior to current stage of time.
One way to deal with it, and I would keep it simple.

Cooling Transformation
It is used as a CT diagram(CT曲線、冷却変態曲線) The CT is an abbreviation of Cooling Transformation. It is same as CCT (Continuous Cooling Translformation). Please consider this. Good luck.

priority project
i.e., "leading" in the sense of first on the "to do" list or "well into development"

I'd finesse the issue with "leading," which conveniently means either "preceding (i.e., further along)" or "higher priority." The context isn't much help.

: 先行 means 'that which was done previously". "Prior" might have been correct (as in "prior research") but "priority" is not.

Sorry, but I was blinded by J-Wave's 先行予約 spots.
