When the context contains 展開, it sounds something was mentioned in detail.

: この場合の「展開」は「情報や詳細を添えておく、付け加える」という意味なので、この訳が適していると思います。

Thanks. I am aware that we normally do not say "I mentioned in detail" in English. I just wanted to tell the asker that the Japanese term indicated something elaborated information was given in the e-mail.

I am not clear about your question. The asker was quick to get the point. Let's move on.

as detailed in a previous e-mail
In answer to your question, yes I think you probably could just say 'mentioned'.
However, although without seeing the various emails it is obviously impossible for me to be sure, my feeling is that it implies that the previous email went into some detail, which is being omitted here. If so, then 'as detailed in a previous e-mail' might be better.

Thanks. There may well be a ように afterwards that the asker has not included. If not then the asker will I'm sure be able to reword as appropriate.

We have disseminated the information via the previous e-mail message.

: Unlikely to be 'evolve' or 'develop' in the context. Note that the full sentence is 「以前メールにて展開させて頂きました」 . The original question was changed after posting, so this is not clear from what is now shown. See 'changes made by editors' below for details.
