Italian term or phrase: Rimborso quote
This phrase appears in a Consolidated Statement of Cashflows table. The full term is "Rimborso quote di altre attività finanziarie non correnti a fair value rilevato a conto economic complesso".
The client and I agree on the latter part of the phrase as "[ ... ] of other non-current financial assets at fair value through other comprehensive income." The sticking point is "Rimborso quote" and as to whether "quote" is redundant in context in that mentioning in it in English would alter the meaning.
There is another phrase - "Rimborso quota capitale e pagamento interessi su debiti leasing" and we agree that this phrase is "Repayment of principle and payment of interest for lease obligations".

Repayment of amounts due from other deferred financial activities
Explanation:
rimborso: not redemption for principal and interest, but of things like bonds, debentures & mortgage. Exception: capital redemption business in life 'assurance' & pensions.

quota: also > partnership contribution or a share in certain types of corporation: I know the Spanish rather than the Italian creatures.

Entry 1 amount; share; contribution; dues > but see second SPA weblink >; rata > *instalment*: Garzanti.

Rimborso quota capitale e pagamento interessi su debiti leasing: payback of BrE / AmE *instal/l/ments* of principal and payment of interest on > finance > leasing vs. lease liabilities.

Upshot: 'when in doubt, leave out', but here amount can arguably double up in both contexts.

I only asked for the Rimborso quote part of it as the rest of the term is fixed for this client and I cannot change it. I am only accepting this as a generic meaning rather than a one size fits all term.
