Glossary entry (derived from question below)
Italian term or phrase:
presenze alla manifestazione
English translation:
visitors to the fair
Italian term
30.000 presenze alla manifestazione
I considered "admissions" but am not really satisfied with it.
The organizers presumably prefer not to show that re-entries are counted as "new" entries

When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.
How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:
An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)
A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).
Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.
When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.
* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

30.000 visitors
Trade fairs provide visitors with a comprehensive overview of the entire market and industry.
As I wrote, the figure includes re-visits/re-entries, but the organizers prefer not to indicate the fact. Otherwise attendees or visitors would have been fine. |
The client doesn't want to state that re-entries are included and excludes using attendees or visitors... this is why I was looking for another term (eg attendances), but the suggestions are greatly appreciated. |

: Agree but would use 30,000 (not 30.000)

: 30,000. We don't have the context, but you can say "includes reentries" if necessary. And I'm sure lots of people reenter, so their visitor numbers are unreliable.//We have the context now, and I believe this is the correct answer.

Discussion
If the phrase comes from a sentence, it would be good to have the full sentence. For example, might it be possible to say "30,000 attendances were registered at the event gates", or something similar?
