unless it is "time-to-live" that is a TCP/IP term (how long a packet or a connection can "live") that was translated to Hebrew as שרידות and we are returning full circle to English

I think so How else would you express it in English - the ability of networks and communications services to operate after they were hit by something. The normal approach is to have redundancy(ies) so there is not one single point of failure.
