Mortgaging of asset

70% of the value of the building will be put up as collateral, while the balance of the value will be rounded out by mortgaging an enterprise-owned asset. The guarantees will be made in favour of the lender, who shall be included as a party to the insurance.

(The Hebrew sentence is not very precisely worded).

neutral Daniel Isaacs : I would prefer "charge" over an asset, rather than "mortgage" which is usually used only in respect of land

Encumber an asset; create a lien on an asset

Usually to guarantee a loan or mortgage
Peer comment(s):

neutral Daniel Isaacs : encumber is, well, cumbersome :) and a lien is "ikavon" (with kaf). "shiabud" is a charge.
