Greek term

poleodomic

Non-PRO Greek to English Social Sciences Government / Politics
Found in an english text from Greece about political unrest I am translating to spanish. I haven´t found any english references to this term, neither in the Cambridge Dictionary nor on the internet, so I assume this to be a greek word:

"...criticizing the meaning of public transportation as travel from home to work and back home, like a poleodomic, an urban symbol of obedience to the compartmentalizationof life in jobs and houses."
Proposed translations (English)
4 urban/town planning

Polydomic? Perhaps the word should be "polydomic": http://wordinfo.info/unit/2804

Hi, This is indeed a Greek word, poleodomic (πολεοδομικός) means town/urban planning, yet I am unable to understand its use in the above sentence... though Greek (perhaps more context would clarify things). Hope this helps a bit.

urban/town planning

"Poleodomia" = "urban/town planning".
Note from asker:
Thanks for the answer. It doesn´t make a whole lot of sense in the syntax used, but that´s a general characteristic of the text I´m translating. Might be a broken enumeration of adjectives.
