A) I'm not sure how strongly these terms need to differ (or can be used synonymously)
B) I'm not 100% whether the Anstrichzeichnung is just for the livery (i.e. "livery drawing") or covers the specifications for all painting (although "painting drawing" sounds completely ridiculous to me).

Where the end customer applies the livery himself, obviously this then applies to primer, or undercoat layers. This avoids the "painting drawings" you so rightly reject!

The Anschriftenzeichnung would be the lettering diagram, or layout of markings, etc. Yes, they do need to be differentiated.

Explanation:
The painting sketch (Anstrichzeichnung) of the BR 181 201-210 of the year <B>1977</B> still gives the old steel-blue color.


I took the info from Wolgang Diener's 'Anstrich, Beschilderung und Anschriften an Reisezugwagen, Oktober 1986' (Painting, signposting and inscription of coaches).
