German term or phrase: Badekultur
Besonders Anhänger luxuriöser Badekultur kommen in den exklusiven Villen träumen auf ihre Kosten, denn die Bäder bestechen durch ihre individuelle Gestaltung ebenso wie durch edelsten Marmor und edle Designobjekte.

I know the term bathing culture exsists, but it just doesn't seem to fit the context here. This is for a description of a five-star resort. The translation need not be litleral, it must only fit the context and accurately describe it in English. So far I have "Devotees of luxurious bathing..." but I'm not happy with that. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Explanation:
I don't think we can use "culture" or "bathing" here as it is about the actual bathrooms where one takes a bath.
Otherwise some hype such as wow-inducing", exceptional, exclusive, glamorous etc. could be used, as in the following website :

Explanation:
You can say something along the lines... "fans of the ultimate indulgence [sea, bathing] resorts, may dream... or phrase it a bit differently, ' fans of ultimate bathing indulgence experience, may...depending on whether you want to stress the resort itself or the activity.

agree  Helen Shiner: Devotees of exceptional bathroom design - yes, I read it as being about bathrooms not spa culture in general.

agree  Bernhard Sulzer: sounds to me as if they are staring at the tub in awe, especially without the preceding ..to experience; // rethinking: "Badekultur" is the total "bathing style" and the design as important exhilarating part of this experience. This could go either way.

"leave it out"

Explanation:
Although I agree with Michael on "spa culture" I think that in this context you could actually leave it out and just say "luxury" - something along the lines of "Luxury lovers in particular..." (bit cheesey that, but you know what I mean!)

here - to bathe

Explanation:
For some reason formulated this way I'm not reminded of seaside bathing resorts - but you might not agree!

In particular, those who like to bathe in style/luxury/a luxurious ambience
(For those who like to bathe in style/luxury/a luxurious ambience, the exclusive villas will surpass/exceed all expectations/ fulfill all dreams/not disappoint with individually designed bathrooms etc..)

alternative:
The individually designed bathrooms with high quality marble and designer fittings are one feature of the exclusive villas that will delight guests who particularly value a luxurious ambience...

agree  Bernhard Sulzer: weaker than the German word "Bade'kultur'" // Point taken. "Culture" is probably too big a word here. // Actually, style and design are here more important than bathe/bathing/pamper.

-> thanks, I just dont like the word culture in this context- but most luxury villas bathrooms have u.a. jacuzzis, baths, hot tubs, showers etc so maybe experience could be brought in - for whom bathing is an experience, the culture of bathing??not so easy!

Spa culture

Explanation:
This is just an inch away from "bathing" culture, but the idea of a spa connotes luxury, pampering, skin treatments, hydrotherapy, etc.., whereas "bathing" seems to primarily connote "swimming" and a seaside culture.

Given that this is a description of the feel and quality of the interior design of the bathrooms in the villas, I do feel that the "spa" idea is still apt. The generous use of marble and other design features seems evocative of what you'd experience at a high-end spa. I don't see how bathing--either in the seashore or the soaking bath sense suits the context here.

"Lately, bathrooms are taking over: perhaps influenced by the designer hotel phenomenon, they’re no longer discreetly tucked away into corners [...] Manufacturers, now fluent in the language of spa culture, are teaming with designers to create concept spaces where all elements – from towel bars to cabinets – are coordinated for a uniform effect.

neutral  Bernhard Sulzer: I believe this would be too broad a term, "spa" can include much more than just bathrooms, right? And, I believe it's more about the exclusive furnishings // Reg. your add-on: yes, depends on how big a concept (bathroom vs. spa) they are are looking for.

neutral  Edith Kelly: with Bernhard, I would not associate a bathroom - never mind how well equipped - with a spa

Reference information:
GE:

EN:
Bathing is the immersion of the body in a fluid, usually water or an aqueous solution. It may be practiced for hygiene, religious or therapeutic purposes or as a recreational activity.
Some spa facilities provide bathing in various other liquids such as chocolate or mud. There have been examples of bathing in champagne, milk, baked beans and all manner of other substances. The intentional exposure of the body to any agent may be considered bathing, for example to sunlight (sunbathing).

Badekultur

History Of The Bath
Since the beginning of time, the art of bathing in water has been essential to one's good health and peace of mind. As early as the third century, bathing emporiums quickly became the fashion. The Greeks and Romans were the leaders in erecting many elaborate, expensive bathhouses in which they could conduct business, gossip with friends, eat, drink, or arrange sexual liaisons. Some public baths were so grand that they could easily contain lecture halls, art galleries, meditation rooms, and prayer stalls. As well there were always numerous separate enclosures for "private" business.

this is my first entry again (unhidden, and to be fair, as a reference only)

After reading the various comments, I agree "Badekultur" does relate to the whole bathing style/experience.
The design can certainly (and here it is) a big part of that style/experience. It depends what the hotel wants to focus on - the experience/style or the design.

Luxurious bathing style or luxury-bath aficionados would be two add-on suggestions.
