German term

Funkstation

German to English Tech/Engineering Telecom(munications) Rescue Service

Any idea what a Funkstation is, could it be a communications centre or a base unit etc? Thanks!

radio station

IMHO "radio" is less archaic than "wireless".

Perhaps depending on whether the target is UK English or US English, I have never heard an American use the term wireless.
Peer comment(s):

agree Richard Stephen : That was my first thought too. Why be complicated when a good old fashioned 'radio station' fits perfect

radio station or wireless station

Both terms are correct - but radio station is preferred nowadays.
