Die Ethnologie beschäftigt sich mit der Studie von Volksstämmen weltweit, währen die Folklore sich mit regionalen Bräuchen auseinandersetzt.

Daher finde ich franglish's Vorschlag schon sehr passend.

Many "ethnological" museums call themselves "Ethnographic(al) Museum", regardless of the slight distinction between the terms...e.g.:

You may find them reluctant to change the official English name of their museum. But you can tell them from us that the repetition of "folk" is clumsy - they could at least say "folk life and art".

It is a museum with exhibits from the Styrian region (Steiermark), located in the city of Graz.
