Von der Original-Stahlstichplatte wird eine positive Abformung aus Kunststoff gemacht (Hochbild) und in einem galvanischen Bad auf Kupfer negativ abgeformt (Tiefbild). Vom Tiefbild wird galvanisch ein Hochbild aus Nickel abgeformt, dann für die Markenanzahl pro Bogen die erforderlichen Kunststoffprägungen angefertigt, die zum Bogenformat zusammengeschweißt werden. Von der fertigen Kunststoffmontage wird in einem Kupferbad eine Kupfer-Hochplatte erzeugt. Ständige Kontrollen und Ausbesserungen eliminieren alle Verunreinigungen. Von der fertigen Hochplatte werden Druckplatten aus Nickel erzeugt und verchromt, dadurch werden die Platten härter und höhere Auflagenzahlen sind möglich.
