The music will probably be played (Mozart or Beethoven). The church service and the funeral have already taken place. This service will be held for a former member of the university and in an auditorium of the university.

Oh, oh... I'm going against the majority here, but "musical postlude" worked well, considering I also used "musical prelude" and "musical interlude" - the client was happy.
My thanks also go out to David, whose suggestion could've worked just as well (IMHO).

"recessional" would be enough I would say

Music for 10:00 AM Funeral Mass, St. Pius X Church, Plainview, NY ... We played a recording him singing it as the recessional at his funeral. ...

agree  Lisa Davey: this is the term I was just checking. It is more for a church than a university lecture hall - but then, how many people have an extra bit of their funeral held at the uni? A bit specialist and unusual, therefore "churchy" language is allowed, I think!
