When soldiers have been awarded medals, but they don't always wear the medals on their uniforms, there is a bar of embroidery above the breast pocket which shows the colours of the medals they have. What is this called in English please? The NCO's who I am training at the moment say this is called in (Austrian) German "Orden(s)spange"
