debridement (of avital bone) Explanation: Yes, this would be included in "debridement", IMO. Anfrischung means cutting off or breaking the sclerotic, avital bony ends of the non-union to yield vital surfaces which may the unite (usually supported by interposition of bone graft tissue or substance). As debridement usually includes dissecting infected or avital soft tissues around the former fracture site, you might specify "debridement of avital bone", or similar.
