German term

KHK II

German to English Medical Medical: Cardiology
Just seeking some confirmation here:

Obviously KHK = Koronare Herzkrankheit = Coronary artery disease (CAD)

My question is about the "II".
I initially thought this might be referring to the number of vessels (i.e., two-vessel disease), but the ICD code is I25.1, and they only mention the LAD.

So this leads me to believe it must be some kind of staging details....NYHA class II?
Is it safe to assume this and insert NYHA class II in the translation?
Would just "CAD II" mean anything in English?

The patient is being hospitalised for a different problem, so there are no further details about his heart disease in the document....

CAD with grade II angina/grade II angina

Might as well contribute.
Peer comment(s):

agree Cornelia Riedl : see above answer, this is probably more specific, however, to what is being said in German.

my confidence Level should have been lower because if the "II" refers to grade 2 or grade II, this grade would refer to AP (angina pectoris)
Peer comment(s):

agree Cornelia Riedl : actually does refer to grading of angina, similar to Canadian method of grading level of activity required to produce angina.http://www.clevelandclinicmeded.com/medicalpubs/diseasemanag... is best description

I cannot actually find anything with CAD II, the NYHA grading system seems to refer to Heart Failure, I did find a grading system for angina though of "II".
