Ach du liebe Zeit, es können doch nicht nur Ärzte medizinische Texte übersetzen! Und ich als Ärztin weiß in diesem Fall auch nicht, was das eigentlich für eine Raumforderung sein könnte (immerhin ist mir inzwischen aufgefallen, dass "Hauptstamm" sich nicht nur auf die Koronarien, sondern auch auf den Pulmonalis-Hauptstamm beziehen kann, sodass man sich zumindest prinzipiell vorstellen kann, dass irgendeine Raumforderung – Lymphknoten oder was auch immer – diesen Hauptstamm keilförmig eindrückt.)

Da Kardiologie nicht mein Gebiet ist, kann ich nicht wirklich beurteilen, welcher Ausdruck passender ist. Dir als Ärztin würde ich in diesem Fall ungern widersprechen wollen, daher habe ich dies nur als Diskussionsbeitrag geschrieben.

Space-occupying lesion is what I normally use for Raumforderung. According to my monolingual Collins English dictionary an indentation (Einbuchtung, Ausbuchtung, Vertiefung etc.) is "a hollowed, notched or cut space; the leaving of space or the amount of space left between a margin and the start of an indented line". That to me sounds like the exact opposite of a stenosis. It widens the space rather than narrowing it - although admittedly that always depends on the perspective.

I had come to 'spur-like" for spornartig; I wasn't sure about that in the context of main stem stenosis.

although the context provided is sparse, there appears to be a cardiovascular risk factor (and not a radio frequency which is another definition for the acronym RF) for something spur-like which could be anything such as coronary plaque surface or some other obstructing spur-like growth in the coronary arteries
