agree  Bernhard Sulzer: yes, I believe it's the "screws"/factors that need to be adapted/changed/broadened/adjusted etc.

neutral  writeaway: "geared towards" is much more marketing speak than adapated or adjusted which is an accurate 'translation', but in this context sounds too clinical and dead as language. Would be fine in a purely engineering context.
