Improvements/innovations generally only focus on technical solutions Explanation: A late entry... The German word "Optimierung" is often best translated with "improvement" or "innovation". In English, we generally don't talk about optimisations. Instead, we refer to innovative solutions or improvements. So you could write: Improvements/innovations generally only focus on technical solutions/a technical approach ... (instead of taking into account other aspects of the process). I'm not sure if you can use the word innovations in this context. I suppose you could argue that not every improvement qualifies as an innovation. The word innovation definitely implies a high-tech, advanced approach. Perhaps that fits well with this particular manufacturer. In any case, improvements should work.
