German term or phrase: V-Rillenschliff
This is a particular type of finish/decorational element on a glass door. I got LEO translation for "Rillenschliff" as "Fluted bevel" and was wondering if anybody knows whether a V-Rillenschliff is something different again?

Thanks as always

v-notch cut
Explanation:
Isn't the bevel a cut at the edge of a part? The decorative v-notch cut can be found on many glass, they are mostly cut with a v-shaped diamond coated high-speed cutter.

You were right about the bevel: it's used on the edges of glass, etc. so your v-notch cut fit the bill. Many thanks for you help.

V-notch bevel

Explanation:
I would translate it as a "V-notch bevel", but don't have examples to back it up therefore "low confidence".

Asker: Thanks Volker. It makes sense when I look at the photos of the doors. The bevel does actually have a V-shape. Great! Thanks for the input.

Notes to answerer
Asker: Yes, I've heard of a bevelled edge, but am not sure if a bevel only refers to the edge. Certainly something to think about and gives me more to work with. Thank you for your help!
