It does not seem likely that technik means something else. It also sounds more English to say of than for. I searched a little on google but could not find an official translation of this for you. The website for the world congress for psychotherapy is not that revealing in regards to this.

Thanks for noticing that Elisabeth. On a lot of google searches for their name and department, it kept talking about university departments all the time so it made me a little iffy at first, but let's go with department then.
