German term

steuerliche Abgrenzung

German to English Bus/Financial Law: Taxation & Customs
A document from the lawyers about their duties in respect of sorting out the tax situation for a company wanting to open an office in Switzerland. Can't think how to phrase this:

Die XXX beabsichtigt in absehbarer Zeit, ein Buero in Zuerich zu eroeffnen. Zu regeln sind die Besteuerungsmodalitaeten des Zuercher Bueros des XXX aufgrund seiner Taetigkeiten fuer AAA, BBB und CCC, ferner die *steuerliche Abgrenzung* und Qualifikationen der Einkuenfte der Kommanditisten bzw. Limited Partners.
Proposed translations (English)

Discussion

Non-ProZ.com Sep 23, 2004:
Idea... What about breaking off the bit from "ferner" into a separate sentence as follows?
"The incomes of the general partners and limited partners of the Investment Partnerships also need to be separated out and classified for tax purposes."

tax determination

I agree with your basic proposed translation. The idea here is the qualification/classification of the income and the resultant deliniation for tax purposes.
