Registered Letter 16:36 Nov 13, 2020
Court papers are usually sent via registered letter, usually with a return postcard. That nomally takes a couple of days to makt it's way back to the sender, not even including the time documents may travel within the court. And if no one was there to receipt the letter, it will be deposited at the next post office and the recipient has 7 days to pick it up (or not if he knows what is waiting for him). If the letter is not receipted or picked up, it will be returned to the sender. The postcard can easily take a week, and two weeks if the whole shebang is sent back... In the end IMO it does not really matter if proof of delivery is on file or on the record.. |
