machinery or equipment Explanation: OK, you might just want to describe your term up in the front of your contract and then just use "Machinery" (as in "Hereinafter referred to as "Machinery"). Of course, that does not help with 'umfang' bit. Maybe you can use The Machinery of this contract (Hereinafter referred to as "Machinery") corresponds to the exact state of the Machinery at the time of .... If you want to get a bit more wordy, you might change 'corresponds to the exact state" into something using "includes ...." but I am not sure how to do it. Probably all the things you thought about.
