overload, overdrive, drive into saturation {or saturate} Explanation: Depending on what the picture looks like, any of these might fit. The camera can handle input signals of only a certain level, anything more than that will result in the situations described above. Kind of like looking into the sun, you cannot see anything for a certain amount of time afterward until your eyes recover. Same effect with an IR camera.
