German term

Stangen

German to English Tech/Engineering Construction / Civil Engineering
I found this random notation in the minutes of a German Lutheran church in Nebraska from April of 1907. Apparently, there was a structural problem with the church floor, and someone was being asked to pull it back together with 3 "Stangen." Any idea exactly what this means? Since "Stangen" can be translated a number of ways (poles, rods, bars, beams, etc.), I'm not really sure what they're using for this repair. Perhaps someone with a background in construction would understand what is meant?

"Den Fußboden in der Kirche mit 3 Stangen wieder zusammenziehen soll N.N. besorgen."

Stange here is an abbreviated version of Gewindestange

Note from asker:
I believe this is exactly what is meant! I did some more research on Gewindestangen, and found this line, which specifically refers to closing a gap in a floor (as was mentioned in the church records from 1907): "Die Gewindestange wird dann zusammengezogen wobei sich die Fuge im Fußboden schließt.
