Discussion

Richard Stephen Feb 24, 2014:
Maybe 'can be floated out to a feather edge'
Bernd Runge Feb 24, 2014:
Bernd Runge Feb 24, 2014:
Maybe you should ask for 'ansatzlos ausziehbar' because there doesn't seem to be a term like 'ansatzlos filzbar' ...

can be drawn out to zero

Is what this company uses for their SH 45 bonding filler.
But they call it ansatzfrei rather than ansatzlos

German:
faserverstärkt
optimale Haftung
bis auf Null ausziehbar für ansatzfreie Spachtelarbeiten
ermöglicht Spachtelungen nach Q 2

English:
fibre-reinforced
superb grip
can be drawn out to zero for joint-free filling
allows fillings according to Q2

neutral Bernd Runge : Hi Yorkshireman, this may be a valid option but I'd never use a German source as reference ;-)

Hi Bernd - maybe one of us who knows the answer - and is keeping quiet about it - translated it :-) BTW - it's on a Belgian website, too. Feathering seems logical, it's also a term used in merging layers seamlessly in Photoshop.

infinitely

...feltable

Like infinitely adjustable (or sort of a sliding scale, can be turned into felt to the umpteenth degree).
That's how I read it
