Discussion

Susanna Miles (asker) Mar 9, 2006:
boule = blockware The holz.de dictionary is very helpful.
Thanks.
Sorry for the initial decline.
Susanna Miles (asker) Mar 9, 2006:
steamed boules actually steamed boules, boards or planks all would be correct. In saw the term blockboards on that website - thus choosing that terminology. In searching further I found:
the term "blockware" in English as well, so maybe is ok as is:
"beech blockware, steamed, dried 52mm"
In checking the American Heritage dictionary I couldn't find a good definition for "boule", but apparently it is lumber specific.
I will check how to accept and grade this. Thanks.

I don't see why from that website you believe blockboards (which can even be plywood!) corresponds to Blockware, which is a log 'as-cut' into planks/boards which is a boule in English (Google on beech boules)
